Welcome
Therapy can provide the opportunity and resources to help you find more emotional freedom and balance in your life, connect with yourself and others in more authentic and satisfying ways, develop a grounded sense of self-understanding and self-compassion, and strengthen your capacity to face life’s challenges and uncertainties. Whatever your reasons for seeking therapy, my aim is to offer a gentle, containing space to support you in a process of growth, learning, and healing.
I work with clients of all ages in a way that balances practical skill-building with deeper self-exploration. I use an integrative psychodynamic and relational approach, drawing on theories of learning and development as well as embodiment, attachment, and trauma. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative, and I see the therapeutic relationship as a resource to facilitate change in the areas that matter most to you.
At the center of this work is a stance of curiosity toward all you bring to therapy. Our sessions may weave together reflections on your current life situation, relationships, memories, and emotions, with focus on how you make meaning from your experiences. While listening to all of the voices that are part of your inner world, we may also work with your dreams, bodily sensations, creative practices, and other sources of meaning.
Seeking therapy can bring up feelings of vulnerability and discomfort along with hope and relief. I am committed to creating a space where clients can explore both their struggles and their aspirations, while attending to the influence of past experiences and relational patterns and the way they are situated within broader social systems.
I support client in areas including:
• life transitions (including school, work, and relationships)
• identity explorations (including gender, sexuality, and cultural identity)
• neurodivergence (including autism, ADHD, AuDHD, learning differences, etc.)
• existential questions around life goals, values, meaning, and purpose
• communication, attachment, and relational patterns
• creative expression and self-confidence
• executive function and learning issues
• disability, chronic illness, and cancer
• depression and anxiety
• grief and loss
• complex trauma
About Me
My practice as a therapist integrates my psychodynamic clinical training and my graduate studies in the learning sciences. I bring a developmental and sociocultural lens to my work with clients across the lifespan, with focus on helping people navigate systems and spaces that are out of sync with their needs. My own life experiences have also influenced how I attend to the complex intersections among visible and hidden dimensions of identity that shape each person’s psychosocial world. As a Bay Area native, I am honored to be able to support my community through my work at Blue Oak.
