A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

Welcome to my practice! The therapy space can be a useful container for individuals to practice new ways of relating and responding, as they seek greater balance and contentment in their lives and relationships. I support clients in increasing their awareness of learned patterns of relating that no longer serve them, and in expanding their ability to respond and adjust to life’s challenges through greater insight and skills building. At times, this work may involve the unveiling and processing of the lingering effects of painful past experiences.

I work from an integrative psychodynamic and attachment-based lens, using mindfulness, narrative therapy, parts work, grounding exercises, and expressive arts techniques to support clients wherever they are in their healing process.

As a clinician, I am committed to providing collaborative, client-centered therapy, holding awareness of the impact of systems on clients, maintaining a trauma-focused lens, and working to decrease cultural stigma around mental health care for individuals and communities.

I am Mexican-American and mixed race, as well as a member of the LGBT+ community, and understand the potential complexity of intersecting identities and their impact on the therapeutic process. My multicultural life experience has greatly informed how I view periods of transition, the need for belonging, and self-acceptance. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, and utilize integrated modalities to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs.
